Jason Cain is a Director with Gordius Consulting, LLC in Kingwood, TX. Jason brings deep expertise in international arbitration, forensic accounting, commercial litigation, energy litigation, and employment litigation.
With more than ten years of dispute analysis and forensic experience, Jason has advised clients on numerous litigation and investigation matters. His dispute analysis and forensic experience includes assisting a large, high-profile Russian oil company in a dispute involving a failed merger attempt. In this role, he examined retroactive tax liabilities claimed by the Russian Ministry of Taxes and Levies and provided assistance during the course of the company’s U.S. Chapter 15 bankruptcy proceedings. Jason was also extensively involved in the forensic investigation into Swiss banks to uncover amounts claimed by World War II Holocaust victims.
Jason earned his bachelor’s degree in business and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). Mr. Cain is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Houston World Affairs Council (HWAC), Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA), Transnational Dispute Management (TDM), LCIA Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG), ICDR Young & International, and USCIB Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF). Jason has also published articles and given presentations regarding international arbitration costs and awards as well as the issues surrounding the nationalization of oil assets.
